The Shimadzu Precision Instruments corporate headquarters is located in Long Beach, California. Our tilt-up construction team approach the industrial warehouse from a modern perspective, incorporating a corner mezzanine that would function as a corporate commercial office, along with structural detailing to accommodate the unique architectural design. Every aspect of our design solution had to conform to the rigorous aspects of the California Building Code. Among several creative touches, we included large window openings, large, recessed panels for spandrel glazing, and several nearly 40-foot-tall precast tilt-up panels. The structural design was closely coordinated with the architectural design to achieve the client’s desired architectural goals.
