Who we are looking for:

As a Structural Engineer, in this position, you will be primarily focused on the completion of forensic engineering projects. You’ll be tasked with investigating and isolating the specific reason a structure has or will fail, and making recommendations for future preventative measures.

What you’ll be doing:

Including but not limited to:

  • Conduct structural field investigations and analyze failures involving various structural and construction related problems involving residential, commercial and industrial properties.
  • Determine of the cause, origin, and extent of structural failures, water intrusions, roof damage, construction defects and building system failures including building envelope, roof, wall and glazing.
  • Assignments may include foundation settlement investigations, structural assessments and site evaluations.
  • Analyze failures in buildings and other infrastructure systems by conducting site visits and applying engineering principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards.
  • Conduct unbiased investigations for various types of clients.
  • Prepare oral and written reports in layman’s terms that document causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation.

What you need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • P.E. Licensure – or the ability to obtain licensure within one year
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and within teams to achieve goals
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must be able to walk and stand continuously throughout the day
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 70 pounds on a regular basis
  • Requires a valid, clean driver’s license, as travel to job sites is required
  • Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
