We are seeking a Civil Staff Engineer for employment in our Colorado Springs, Colorado office.

What you’ll be doing:

Including but not limited to:

  • Using engineering concepts and software, (Autodesk Civil 3D), you will design, plan, and supervise the construction of infrastructure projects such as buildings, bridges, roads, dams, pipelines, water, and sewage systems.
  • Assesses strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel by testing materials and soil.
  • Sets design specifications by computing load and grade requirements, material stress factors, water flow rates, and similar parameters.
  • Plans projects based on the analysis of relevant materials such as drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data.
  • Communicating with engineering, and other technician staff regarding construction issues

Skills/Experience you bring to this role:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-Accredited institution
  • EIT/EI with 2-6 years of experience and working toward PE license
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D 2018 or better
  • Must be able to work independently and within teams to achieve goals
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time in order to meet deadlines
  • Possession of attention to detail and ability to review work performed for accuracy
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds regularly
  • Requires a valid, clean driver’s license, as travel to job sites is required
  • Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,500.00 – $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

License/Certification:

  • Engineer In Training licensure (Preferred)
  • Driver’s License (Preferred)
