Richard Buckley, Ph.D, P.E.
Structural Project Engineer
Dr. Rich Buckley is a registered professional engineer in Colorado, with B.E. and M.E. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and American Society of Engineering Educators (ASEE). He has over twenty refereed journal and conference publications.
Rich has over twenty five years of experience as a mechanical and structural engineer. He served in the US Air Force for more than twenty years as a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineer. He had numerous assignments as an engineer and program manager working on weapons, communication, and aircraft programs. He served an Assistant Professor, Laboratory Director, and Deputy Department Head at the US Air Force Academy Department of Engineering Mechanics where he taught courses in Statics, Strengths of Materials, Structures, Mechanical Testing, Aerospace Structures, and Automotive Engineering. He has served as Principal Engineer for large research & development programs focused on structural analysis and materials testing.
Rich serves as a Structural Project Engineer for the Commercial Group.
