RMG was delighted to provide structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, and CMT services to our client, builder Galiant Homes, for one of its most stunning modern mountain homes in one of Colorado’s most coveted private golf neighborhoods. Built by Galiant Homes and designed by TDG Architects, this magnificent 8,000 square foot $3.4 million private home has three levels and optimizes views with its soaring windows, western facing decks, and walk-out patios. The main level includes open living, dining and kitchen space with a butler’s pantry, ample workspace, a mudroom and laundry, a four-bay garage, a guest bedroom with an en-suite, a study, and an owner’s suite. The private upper-level guest suite boasts a private balcony that showcases an unobstructed view of the Front Range, while the lower level has an in-home gym, family recreation area, a wine room, and two junior suites.
RMG was tasked with many aspects of making this home market-ready, including provided framing plans and design for the lower and upper set of steel stairs. We also revised and provided structural framing plans for steel bridge support, conducted site observations and soils reports, drafted a site plan for retaining wall, and installed a steel beam support.
With the inclusion of steel staircases, suspended walkways, and retaining walls, RMG’s superb specialty structural engineering skills added significantly to the elegance and uniqueness of this majestic and modern mountain home.
